Leader of the opposition in parliament Hon.Dr.Kondwan Nankhumwa MP, has today on Monday, February 6,visited one of the country's most cerebrated comedians, Frank Yalu populary known as Nginde; at his home in Chimwankhunda, Blantyre. This comes as Nginde has not been seen in public acting for sometimes, a development that led to speculations about his health and week being.
In his speech Hon. Nankhumwa said that apart from Yalu there are other comedians who are 1lso struggling to make the ends meet. " I have learnt that several other renowned actors and actresses have been " neglected " and it is his wish to reach out to them as well" said Nankhumwa.
Hon. Nankhumwa, who is also DPP vice president for the south donated K100 000 to the Yalu family and has also promised to build a good house for the family, while thanking Nankhumwa for visiting him Yalu disclosed he is struggling to take himself back to his grory days as he could not lack anything.
He said " currently, I am doing nothing to earn a living. Life has been so difficult for me and your coming is a huge blessing to me". The comedian made his name when he was one of the actors in Tikuferanji radio TV drama episodes aired on Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC).
